On being asked why he wrote that book.

The show Rachel Allen Bake is credited for turning the tide in Vedant's life. One fateful day, Vedant was stuck on the recipe of the Dutch apple cake that was prepared in the show. In order to bake it, he did so in a dhokla pan that was available in his house. With his increasing passion for cooking, the house's pantry was turned into a kitchen. Vedant began writing a cooking blog titled The Foodie Journey. This led to Vedant putting on a lot of weight. Just being on the verge of becoming obese, he decided that he needs to come up with a healthier route to the food he couldn't let go. And this is what led to Cheat It All .

How everything sorted?

To this he replied that it wasn't easy and even not rapid. Vedant said that the publishing process itself took more than a year with multiple rounds of editing and modifications.

On being asked about his food preferences....

Vedant said that he is utter non-vegetarian. This doesn't portray in the book as it has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Vedant's favourite includes two recipes - Cheesecake and Chia seed pudding. The former is made with a special variety of cheese viz. quark that is much healthier and now easily available in India.
On asking about the next big thing, Vedant said that he has been approached by a leading publishing house to write a series of books on healthy diet. The plan is in natent state currently though.
Being very young he all set to pursue a management course from Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland. He also wishes to become an actor in Bollywood someday, he said with lots of aspirations.
