The movie as a whole covers the corny territory. It’s a simple rom-com plot: Boy meets girl. He climbs a tree into her room, childhood tricks get into grown-up troubles and somewhere as life takes on their friendship jumps the fence.

It’s a delight to watch Parineeti, mainly because she has a lot more to do. Her character has sparks and flaws and lows and highs and she’s more realistic. In comparison, Ayushmann’s character seems to exist only to deal with the consequences of Bindu’s actions. But Abhi does that with skill. 

Meri Pyaari Bindu will touch the romantic in you, but watching the movie will be a battle between the mind and heart. 

In Sarkar 3, The best thing is that it is not as ghastly as Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag.

Sarkar 3 reunites us with the famous character of Subhash Nagre aka Sarkar, a thinly disguised fictionalized version of Bal Thakeray, which Amitabh Bachchan played in 2005.

In the 3rd part of the series, the number of foes has risen, and with every step, a new challenger shows up. This includes a thundering Manoj Bajpayee, next Rohini Hattangadi, a madly villain Jackie Shroff who is to be seen hanging out with a bikini-clad buxom babe for the most part, and other odds.

The previous editions of Sarkar worked well because Bachchan was given worthy opponents, and the graciousness of a story. Here, RGV completely spreads with such things as plot, as he goes about getting his characters to big dialogues minus the kick. 

The film in general lacks the novelty of the prequels. God knows what Yami Gautam was there to do doing besides displaying heavily kohled eyes, and some silent scenes which don’t add up to the story. 

Bachchan shows signs of the great actor he can be, but to mention, his Sarkar is based on concepts and played. He declaims rather than speaks. And there are moments where you can see the way director RGV does, he pulls off films full of creative leaps, and crazy flourishes.
